Evansville arrested for driving intoxicated after deputies say she was involved in a hit and run at the Vanderburgh County Fair.

The Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of an SUV being involved in a hit and run crash in a 4H fairgrounds parking area. Deputies located the vehicle driving toward the playground area. They say the SUV stopped, and two of the three people inside tried to switch drivers.

Deputies say Sirena Jackson failed all field sobriety tests and was taken to the Vanderburgh County Jail. She's charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.

Sheriff David Wedding says, "The 4H fair is a great place to socialize and enjoy time with family and friends. Unfortunately, every year a few people behave irresponsibly and in this case put other fair goers at risk. We are grateful to concerned citizens who elect to get involved and alert the Sheriff's Office to individuals who are endangering the public."
