Data from the Illinois State Police shows White County has several times the number of people with concealed carry permits per capita than Cook County. According to ISP, 108 people in White County have active conceal carry licenses whereas Cook County has about 10,000 active licenses. But, when population is factored in, White County has about four times more than Cook County.
