The YMCA of Southwestern Indiana is helping pups of all sizes get through the dog days of summer. From 11:30 this morning to 3 p.m. this afternoon, members and non-members were invited to bring their dogs to the pool for a refreshing swim. The paddling pooches were split into two sessions; one for the little dogs and another for the big boys.

"We drain the pool every year. We just thought lots of  Y's [sic] do this. We just thought  it was our chance to try it. It's our first time doing this but, I think it's been  successful enough that we're gonna try  to do it every year " said, Senior Program Director, Kelly Boylls.

The event cost owners $10 dollars per pup. That money will go toward the facility's aquatics department.
