This happened at the corner of Diamond Ave. and Mesker Park Dr. Parsons was thrown over the top of the van and landed on the road. We're told she was wearing a helmet at the time.
The man driving the motorcycle, 49-year-old William Williams of New Harmony, is now facing charges for allegedly driving under the influence of drugs. Investigators say he tested positive for amphetamines and for THC.
PREVIOUS: A Tuesday night Evansville accident lands one passenger in the hospital and the driver behind bars. Sheriff's Deputies were sent to Diamond Avenue and Mesker Park Drive around 8:30 pm for an accident involving a motorcycle and a van. Officials say the van was stopped at a light in the east-bound lane of Diamond, that's when witnesses say the light changed and a motorcycle veered into the left lane crashing into the back of the van. Nancy Parsons, the motorcycle passenger was ejected and flew over the top of the van landing in the road. At last check, she's in critical condition at Deaconess, she was wearing a helmet. Deputies says the motorcycle driver, William Charles Williams was hurt but after being checked out at the hospital, they say they found amphetamines and THC in his system. Williams is in the Vanderburgh County Jail facing multiple charges. The crash does remain under investigation.
