Despite Shutdown, Ford Theatre to Reopen

The building where President Abraham Lincoln was fatally shot is set to reopen.
The building where President Abraham Lincoln was fatally shot is set to reopen.

Ford's Theatre is under the control of the National Park Service.  It was forced to close October 1st during the government shutdown.

The reopening was made possible because of a private donation.  The theatre will be open for the next eight days.
