Injury woes have plagued the Colts all season, but one man who looks healthy is running back Donald Brown. Head coach Chuck Pagano told reporters he informed both backs of the change early in the week, and it seems he made the right call. Brown ran for 54 yards on 14 carries and scored the team's only touchdown of the game in a 22-14 win over division rival Tennessee Sunday.
"The way he's been working in practice," said Pagano. "We're still gonna use two backs but he earned the opportunity to get in there."
"He just gets stronger and stronger [as the game goes on]," says quarterback Andrew Luck. "Donald's a great teammate, a great professional."
The Colts need Brown to continue to play well as they are only one win away from clinching the AFC South and guaranteeing a spot in the playoffs. The Colts travel to Cincinnati next Sunday.
