Officers said 57 year old Timothy Emmons of Dubois County was in the process of taking down a ladder stand, when the ladder buckled throwing Emmons to the ground. Emmons fell approximately 20 feet.
Emmons’ girlfriend, who was present at the scene, went to a nearby home to call 911.
Dubois Volunteer Fire Department first responders responded to the scene, located Emmons and transported him out of the woods to a waiting Jasper Memorial Hospital ambulance. Emmons was transported to Jasper Memorial Hospital for treatment of back injuries.
