Evansville Police officers are investigating a robbery that resulted in two people being sent to the hospital.
An overnight home invasion in Evansville sends two people to the hospital.

It happened around ten Sunday night in the 13-hundred block of South East Second Street, at the Brownstone Apartments.

Detectives tell us two men broke into an apartment and robbed the residents at gunpoint.

Dispatchers say someone in the apartment called 9-1-1, and at one point they say they heard gunshots in the background.

Detectives say by the time they got there the suspects were gone, but they found two injured people.  They say neither had been shot, but were apparently hurt during a physical struggle with the suspects.  Both were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

According to witnesses, two men were seen running from the scene.

Right Now, police say they have no suspects and are still trying to determine if the victims knew their attackers.
