EPD UPDATE: Man Driving Wrong-way on 41 Was Almost Four Times Legal Limit

An Evansville man police say was hit by an SUV while driving his moped was more than four times the legal limit when the accident happened.
An Evansville man police say was hit by an SUV while driving his moped was more than four times the legal limit when the accident happened. We first brought you this story on Daybreak. EPD says around 11 Thursday night, 32 year old Jared Moore went the wrong way down the 41 North entrance ramp on his moped. Officers believe he was trying to get onto the Lloyd Expressway when the SUV hit him northbound. He suffered serious head and other injuries and remains in critical condition at Saint Mary's. Moore will face an operating while intoxicated charge, police say his blood alcohol level was 0.31. Investigators conducted routine tests on the SUV driver, 19 year old Erin Gallagher. She faces no charges. The crash closed the area for a couple hours.
