Eyewitness news spoke with the lead driver at Unity Taxi.
"The current city ordinance says we cannot refuse services to anyone here if they call taxi," said Rodney Smith. "We want to change that where when we run into individuals like this, we'll be able to put their home in a database. If it comes up, we can say 'No, I'm sorry there's been a situation. We won't give you a cab.'"
Smith says the database would also log riders who've failed to pay their cab fare. He tells us drivers are allowed to have a concealed weapon as long as it's registered with the cab company and state.
