A shots fired call on the city's south side leads to short police chase.

EPD says an officer was responding to Sunburst Blvd. at about 2 a.m., when Lusta Johnson sped past. He says Johnson blew through a stop sign and wouldn't pull over.

Johnson eventually lost control of his car near Spring St. and Monroe Ave. and struck a stop sign. The officer says Johnson then jumped out and ran off. A K9 eventually caught him.

Police say as of right now, they don't believe Johnson is connected to the original shots fired call, but that investigation is still ongoing.
