Police say Robin Montgomery tried to run over two police officers in the chase last night that started in Warrick County. Investigators there had reason to believe he was making meth.

The chase ended on Theater Dr. at Old Boonville Highway where police say he tossed an active meth lab out of the car.

"When you're using vehicle like a deadly weapon like that," said Sgt. Jason Cullum, "deadly force is authorized. This is the second time in a week where we've had officers that have been put in that situation."

Montgomery was arrested earlier this year on meth charges in Warrick County.
