Evansville Police Focus on Church Crisis Training

The Evansville Police Department will be working with local religious leaders on Wednesday, with a focus on training them for a worst case scenario.
The Evansville Police Department will be working with local religious leaders on Wednesday, with a focus on training them for a worst case scenario.

Law enforcement will be leading an eight-hour "responding to church crisis" training course at the city's National Guard Armory.

Participants will learn how to handle a crisis in their place of worship and how to help in effectively ending the situation.

Those who attend are asked to bring a canned good for the Tri-State Food Bank.

The course is from 8:00a.m. until 4:00p.m.
