A fire early Saturday morning in Calhoun has left several families homeless. It happened at Green River Apartments around 3:30 a.m. Seven fire departments battled the blaze. The chief of the Mclean County Central District Fire Department said it is still under investigation.

Gary Floyd, owner of the building, said it will likely cost too much to fix. He plans to tear it down and sell the land. He's hoping to move some tenants to other properties.

No one was injured. The Red Cross is assisting victims.
