The worst spot was along First Avenue, near Florida Street. The water was so high, several cars had to be pushed out.
Lisa Nelson was on her way home from work and was following the cars in front of her until her battery died in the water.
"The problem is, people kept driving by and just brought more water. I mean I felt like I was in a boat, just floating along", Lisa said.
Lisa says some people waded into the water and pushed her car out. The street was closed for about an hour.
