Flight from Evansville Makes Emergency Landing

An American Eagle flight makes an emergency stop in Indianapolis this afternoon after taking off from Evansville.
An American Eagle flight makes an emergency stop in Indianapolis this afternoon after taking off from Evansville.

Flight 2906 left Evansville Regional at 4:30 p.m., originally headed for Chicago O'Hare. After takeoff, the passenger jet told air traffic controllers an engine went out midair.

The plane redirected to the Indianapolis Airport. The plane landed safely with 44 passengers aboard. No injuries were reported.

We're told the flight eventually made it to Chicago with no trouble.
