Former Bridgeport Mayor Max Schauf received 18 months in prison, a $5,000 fine, and three years of supervised release. He must also pay $54,288.74 in restitution to the city of Bridgeport.
Schauf pleaded guilty to mail fraud and obstruction of justice. He was indicted back in November 2012 for submitting false and fraudulent invoices, contracts, and bills for services and equipment. Schauf also admitted to telling another person to provide false information to the FBI.
