A big thanks tonight from a local group known for giving families a shot at home ownership.

Habitat for Humanity is wrapping up its 29th season in Evansville with a Jubilee Celebration. It's a special dinner for volunteers, donors, and recipients of Habitat homes.

"We are thanking everyone that pours their time and treasure into making Habitat happen," said Executive Director Lori Reed, "and that certainly helps the partner family and the person buying the Habitat house. So, we're here to celebrate along with the person or group of people that provides the funds to build their house and volunteers as well."

Habitat for Humanity owns more than 100 properties around Evansville.
