Henderson Co. Sheriff's Office Stepping Up Patrols for Winter Storm

There will be more sheriff's deputies on patrol in Henderson County.
There will be more sheriff's deputies on patrol in Henderson County. Starting Sunday, extra patrols will be ready to help stranded drivers or anyone who may run into trouble in the cold weather or the snow.

Deputy Matt Forker says they'll have round the clock coverage Sunday through at least Wednesday with more deputies ready to respond during the overnight hours.

"If for some reason you were to slide off in these kinds of temps," said Deputy Forker, "it can be life-threatening situation. We're urging people to really heed this warning and be prepared for what's coming."

 Law enforcement says if you don't have to get out in the bad weather, don't. Get all your supplies and running finished Saturday, while the weather is still nice.
