City Council members are expected to approve a proposal for a downtown convention hotel. Last Wednesday, a council member confirmed to Eyewitness News, all nine council members were expected to vote in favor of the proposal. Previously, six of the nine members were expected to vote against the hotel. Those council members changed their minds after Mayor Lloyd Winnecke offered major concessions, including dropping the proposed retail area from the project and lowering the amouint of public subsidy from more than $30 million to $20 million.
We will have team coverage of tonight's vote beginning with Eyewitness News First at Four.
