Federal lawmakers approve a major bi-partisan spending bill.

The House passed a $1.1 trillion budget today. The measure now goes to the Senate which is expected to pass it.

The bill would fund the federal government through September and includes a small raise for federal workers.

The compromise measure rolls back many of the record spending cuts congress previously passed but leaves in place most of the spending for the Affordable Care Act.
