Indiana Population Increases Slightly Over the Past Year

New census numbers show Indiana's population isn't growing quite as fast as the national average but still more than its neighboring states.
New census numbers show Indiana's population isn't growing quite as fast as the national average but still more than its neighboring states.

Indiana's population grew by about 33,000 people over the last year. That's about a half percent increase.

Kentucky saw a change of about 0.35 percent. And in Illinois, the population barely budged, growing just 0.1 percent.

As a nation overall, the population is up 0.7 percent.
