IU Sets up Letter of Intent Signing for New Medical School

Indiana University takes its first official step in acknowledging it wants to build a medical school in the Evansville area.
Indiana University takes its first official step in acknowledging it wants to build a medical school in the Evansville area.

IU is set to sign a letter of intent. It's not planning on any specific sites. Sites that could include in Warrick County. County leaders and those from Evansville are working on proposals for the future medical school.

The IU Board of Trustees is expected to vote early next year on the project, but the Indiana General Assembly has to approve funding to build it.
