We may learn more, Thursday, about a man Evansville authorities say is responsible for a pre-Christmas crime spree.

John Vernon Jackson, Jr. is scheduled to be in Vanderburgh County Court at 1p.m.

Evansville Police and Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Deputies arrested him in connection with the Christmas Eve stabbing of Evansville taxi cab driver, Lisa English.

Investigators say Jackson, Jr. is also a suspect in the death of Nicholas Matthew, who was found dead in a home on Hatfield Drive Christmas week.  He had been stabbed to death.

Police say Matthew's home was ransacked and that some items were missing.  Detectives also say Jackson has confessed to the December 20th hold-up of a east side gas station.
