This Camm's third trial. His first two convictions in the shooting deaths of his wife and two children were overturned on appeal.
The jury of eight women and four men broke off their deliberations Wednesday evening after spending most of a day weighing Camm's fate in the 2000 slayings of his 35-year-old wife, Kim, and their children, 7-year-old Brad and 5-year-old Jill.
The jury received the case Tuesday afternoon.
The trial is being held in Boone County northwest of Indiana because of pretrial publicity in southern Indiana, where the Camms lived in the Louisville, Ky., suburb of Georgetown.
