The developer for the McCurdy building files a plan to get the historic structure back up to code. Ben Miller from the Building Commission says that the Kunkel Group submitted the plan on Friday, ahead of today's deadline.
Earlier this month, the city in conjunction with the courts ordered Kunkel to fix a number of code violations at the property. Those violations included parts of the roof that would blow off during a storm as well as an unsecured door.
City officials are now in the process of reviewing Kunkel's plans to fix the building. Another hearing is scheduled for February.
