Labor Day Association Celebration Kicks Off This Weekend

Annual event to be held at Warrick County Fairgrounds, Boonville
Warrick County Fairgrounds in Boonville, Indiana will host the 127th Labor Day Celebration with the theme, “American By Birth-Union By Choice” from Friday, August 30th through Monday, September 2nd.

Daily unlimited amusement ride passes are just $18.00 each day. New events for the last two years are Mud Volleyball on Friday night and “What is it Worth” antique appraisals by Cecil Roeder, appraiser of antiques, glassware, silverware, furniture and collectibles. Antique appraisals is a free event on Saturday from 10 a.m – 4 p.m. only. Other attractions at this year’s Labor Day Celebration include the Demolition Derby, farmers and antique tractor pull, The Official Indiana State Picking & Fiddling Championships, a car show, talent show, Queen Contest and more, plus one of the area’s largest parades on Labor Day. Sponsors of The Official Indiana State Picking & Fiddling Championships include Southwest Indiana Building and Trades Council, Alcoa, Heritage Federal Credit Union, Indianapolis Power and Light, and United Mine Workers Local 1907.
