Lost Ohio Co. Kangaroo Found

The search for a missing kangaroo left its owners worried, and much of Fordsville talking.
If you've ever had a pet go missing, you known the panic that can set in for your family. For one Tri-State family, the hunt to find their pet left the town of Fordsville talking. Luckily, this story has a happy ending.

It's name is Roo, and its owners are rueing the day it got away from them, leading to nearly 19 hours of searching, until they found it this afternoon. The animal got loose just after 6:00 PM Sunday from a home on Barrett Road, south of Fordsville. The kangaroo is owned by the Hein family. They say he escaped after slipping out of its harness. The creature was found around 12:20 this afternoon in a wooded area not too far from where it was last seen. But the disappearance and search had many in town talking.

"they say it was a sight to see," says B.J. Howard of Fordsville. "One guy down at the diner this morning said he ran across it while he was deer hunting."

"There are coyotes and wolves and other wild running around here too. The environment and habitation is not good for them whatsoever," says Lendell Rousher of Fordsville.
