Man Arrested After Alleged Gun Incident

Evansville Police say Jacob Egan fired gun in a neighborhood on the east side.
Evansville Police officers responded to report of gun shots Sunday night in the 2800 block of E. Oak Street.
The first officer says 23-year-old Jacob Egan came out of a house with a handgun, then placed the weapon to his own head.
Police instructed Egan to put the gun down, but they say he ignored them and started waiving it in the air.
After several minutes, the officers were able to deescalate the situation, and convinced Egan to drop the gun.
However, they say he refused to cooperate with officers and had to be subdued with a taser.
Egan is now facing one charge of Criminal Recklessness.
