A familiar face throws her hat in the ring for one of the Vanderburgh County commissioners' seats. Marsha Abell announced her intent to run for re-election at the Civic Center this afternoon.

She outlined her vision for the county in the coming years. Abell says she hopes to continue attracting new businesses and finish University Parkway

While she does have a competitor in the primary, she says that will not change her strategy.

"No, it doesn't change my campaign at all." said Abell." I'm running because I'm good for the office, and I'm running for myself and Vanderburgh County. I'm not running against anyone."

Republicans currently hold majority on both the commissioner board and Vanderburgh County Council.
