The big show will feature rock and roll legends "Kansas" tonight, and MMA fights start Saturday. It's a weekend that promises to have big stars in the mixed martial arts world like Tito Ortiz.
"This sport is one of the greatest sports," said Ortiz. "People kind of see it as a pretty violent sport, but you look at boxing. And our sport is like comparing chess to checkers as checkers being boxing and chess being mixed martial arts because there is so many different ways to win the match."
Mayor Lloyd Winnecke also took a picture of him taking on MMA fighter Chuck Liddell at the Tropicana Casino. The mayor put it on his Twitter feed to promote the Xtreme Knockout Weekend at Ford Center.
