The late John Karl Hosbach, or "Doc" as he was known by many, will be honored with a permanent monument at the tennis complex which is named after him.

Hosbach is credited with fostering tennis talent throughout the region until his death in 1987.

The Henderson Tennis Club and Mayor Steve Austin will be on hand to dedicate the $20,000 polished black granite statue.

The unveiling is scheduled for noon at the complex on South Water Street.
