It's one of many that have kicked off statewide. It brings together local business and education leaders. The purpose is to discuss and evaluate regional career and technical education.
The meeting kicked off with a message from Governor Mike Pence.
"My pledge to the people of Indiana," said Governor Pence, "is working with all of you in a regionally relevant manner. I want to see Indiana lead the nation in making career and vocational information a priority in every high school in our state."
According to the presentation, Indiana's workforce is less prepared than 40 other states and 15 other countries.
