The website, bitterpill.in.gov, provides Hoosiers with a tool kit of resources to combat drug abuse. Online, print, TV, and radio ads will launch in September as part of the campaign.
"There's more people addicted than when we have services to provide," said Indiana Attorney General Greg Zoeller. "So, we really need to get out in front of this. It's already a crisis. It's epidemic in Indiana. So, we need to do more."
According to the National Institute on Drug Abuse, more people abuse Prescription drugs in the U.S. than cocaine, heroin, hallucinogens, and inhalants combined.
