The Evansville Metropolitan Planning Organization held an open house tonight at the Henderson County Public Library, as Tri-Staters voiced their opinions on a draft for a transportation plan that lasts until 2040.
Officials hope the public's feedback can improve the plan before a final vote in January.
"We welcome public comment," said Transportation Planner Craig Luebke, "and we would like to get that. But we understood that people have busy lives and cold weather tonight. So, i'm sure that can have some impact. We take the comments that we do receive and incorporate them and are thankful for them. But we get what we get."
There will be another open house tomorrow night from 5-7 p.m. at the Civic Center Room 318 in downtown Evansville.
