Changes coming to a railroad crossing where two people have been killed in accidents in the last two years. Most recently, 4-year-old Andrea Bullock was killed this month on County Road 550 in Gibson County.

CSX, the railroad company that owns this track, tells Eyewitness News they are working to get new warning devices up on the tracks as soon as possible. Indiana Transportation officials gave CSX the green light and the funding to upgrade the crossing on 550 South last year, but plans to upgrade the safety systems there did not move forward.

This week, Gibson County commissioners urged their neighbors to send petitions to CSX to ask for the upgrades. CSX says they'll be working with INDOT and plan to install new warning devices as soon as they can.
