Old Dam Blues & BBQ Festival Kicks Off in Newburgh

River Basin Blues Society to Host Blues Festival

The Old Dam Blues & Bar-B-Q Festival will be held on Saturday, August 10th, at the Old Lock and Dam Park in Newburgh, Indiana.

This is a fundraiser for The Warrick County Special Olympics and the River Basin Blues Society.

There will be a donation bucket for admission at the gate. It will be $5.00 to get into the Cricket's Bierstube. There will be inflatable rides for the kids (a suggested donation of $1.00).

Sponsors of this event are: Town & Country Ford, the River Basin Blues Society, Warrick County Special Olympics, Baker Retirement & Wealth Management, Cricket's Bar & Grill, News 4 U, Full Time Blues Radio, WUEV 91.5 FM, and Historic Newburgh, Inc.


The event will open at 11 am and continue with blues music until 11 pm.

The music will be scheduled as follows with 4 acts from Evansville and 2 acts from Louisville, KY

9:00 - 10:30 pm                  Doug Wright & the Nomads



In between the bands there will be various speakers from the Warrick County Special Olympics, the River Basin Blues Society, and other yet designated.
