A three-alarm fire early Wednesday morning destroyed a home just outside of Newburgh.

The fire started around 4 a.m. in the 9900 block of Crestview Place, near Grimm Road and State Road 662.

When crews arrived, the house was already fully engulfed.

The family of seven was staying elsewhere because a pipe burst inside the home earlier in the week.

The state fire marshall is investigating the fire. Authorities said they believe it started in the kitchen.
