Owensboro Police say a lockdown at Owensboro Catholic High School has been lifted.

Earlier on Wednesday, police blocked off several roads around the Sports Center after encountering a person they said was threatening to harm themselves.  The school was placed on lockdown as a precaution.

Even though the lockdown has been lifted, police say the status of the person involved in the situation remains unknown.  As a result, Hickman Avenue remains closed while the investigation continues.  All other roads that had been blocked off, however, are now open.
