Owensboro leaders looking for a place to build a new senior center.

Members of the Senior Center Advisory Committee say they've looked at several locations including Moreland Park near the Sportscenter.

The new center will replace the Elizabeth Munday Center on W. 2nd St. Committee members say the new center will be up to 37,000 square feet.

"Some of the things we're looking at what the Munday Activity Center," said Senior Center Advisory Committee Member Keith Free, "what they have proposed in their initial plan, and looking at all the different elements in that, how the building would be used."

The advisory committee's recommendation could be finalized later this month.
