Pastor Charged in Central Kentucky Pawn Shop Killings

Police have arrested a man they say is in involved in the triple murder at a Danville, Ky pawn shop last month.

DANVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Police say a south-central Kentucky pastor has been arrested and charged with murder in the September 20th triple slaying at a Danville pawn shop.

48-year-old Kenneth A. Keith of Burnside was arrested Wednesday afternoon and charged with three counts of murder and robbery in the shootings at ABC Gold, Games and More.

Danville police Capt. Robert Estill said authorities executed search warrants at Keith's church, business and home.

Keith is pastor at Main Street Baptist Church in Burnside and has a gold-buying business in Somerset.

The shop's owners, 35-year-old Michael Hockensmith and his 38-year-old wife, Angela Hockensmith, were killed in the shootings, along with 60-year-old Daniel P. Smith of Richmond. Two children, a 9-year-old boy and a 14-month-old girl who were in the store, were unharmed.
