Perry County Kidnapping Suspect Apprehended

Paul Lenz was arrested near Bowling Green Friday afternoon.
The Kentucky State Police in Bowling Green say they've arrested Perry County kidnapping suspect Paul Lenz. They say they received a tip that Lenz, 32, would be traveling through the area.

Thursday night, Cannelton Police Officers were sent to Dot's Car Wash on State Road 66 to investigate a kidnapping. Officers say the male victim was approached by Lenz. They say he had a gun and demanded to be driven to Tell City.

At one point, investigators say Lenz left the car for a short time, allowing the victim to escape.

Lenz is now being held at the Warren County Jail. He is facing kidnapping and criminal confinement charges in Indiana and being a fugitive from justice in Kentucky.
