Evansville police arrest two women after they say a stealing spree turned violent when an employee was hit by a car.

Officials say around 3:30 Monday afternoon, Tiffani Lowe and Kayla Jackson stole more than $700 worth of toys from Toys-R-Us.

As Lowe and Jackson left the store, authorities say an employee tried to stop the women in the parking lot.  That's when officers say the suspects put the stolen goods in a car. They say Lowe then backed out of the parking lot, hitting the employee.

As the car was driving off, we're told the employee was still on the hood and eventually fell off.  That employee, we're told, was taken to Saint Mary's for treatment.

Detectives say thanks to an off-duty dispatcher who followed the suspects, both Lowe and Jackson were arrested.

They're in the Vanderburgh County Jail, facing strong armed robbery and shoplifting charges.
