A Posey County family is devastated after a home they were building on their farm is destroyed by a late-night fire.

Dispatchers say the report of the fire came in just before midnight.  The home on Winery Road was under construction at the time and firefighters say it was fully engulfed when they arrived.

It took them about a half-hour to put it out.  Officials say the new home is located behind the house the family currently lives in, and noone was inside at the time.

The cause is still under investigation.
