Evansville's Glenwood Leadership Academy could soon face serious consequences as it moves into its sixth consecutive year of poor test scores. Parents, teachers and members of the community packed the school's auditorium Tuesday evening to talk about the school's fate. Such meetings are required of public schools in their fifth year after initially receiving an "F" rating from the state's A to F school accountability system.

The state could take a variety of steps following the meeting including merging Glenwood with a higher performing school, bringing in an outside company to manage the school, or shutting it down altogether. The EVSC recently partnered with a private organization to implement a plan to combat staggeringly low test scores. They're asking the state for time to see results.

It's unclear when the State Board of Education will decide the fate of Glenwood Leadership Academy.
