Reitz Offense Key to Five-Game Win Streak

Run game powering the Panthers.
The Reitz Panthers struggled in the early season, dropping to 1-2 after a shutout loss to Castle in Week Three. That was the first time since 2004 Reitz had been held scoreless, and it was also the last time this year. The Panthers have averaged 40.4 points per game since the Castle loss.
Coach Hape and company on the hill attribute much of that success to their ground game with De'Wayne Esters, Malik Higgins and quarterback Austin Reagan.
"We challenged them [after the Week Three shutout]," says Coach Hape. "They understand [after watching the film] it's not really the scheme we're running. It's the execution and how we practiced."
Hape and the Panthers will have their hands full with a Mater Dei defense giving up only 20 points per game all year.
