As promised, Park Lawn Cemetery places the missing headstone to Veteran Richard Mattingly's grave. The family paid for it, but previous managers never ordered it.
Mattingly passed away in February. And until now, his family felt the cemetery failed to care for his final resting place.
As of last month, the plot had no headstone, and it was beside a three foot gaping hole covered by two wooden planks and an orange cone on top.
Sharon Mattingly turned to Eyewitness News for help with her brother's plot and within hours repairs were made to the unsightly hole. For their grief, the new management at Park Lawn refunded the family charges for the headstone.
