The Purdue-based State Utility Forecasting Group says new federal regulations on coal-fired power plants, costs of new power plants, and other factors will boost the state's electricity rates 32 percent by 20-23.

But experts say there should be little change in demand for power over the next two decades. They say residents and businesses should work to reduce their energy costs.
