CNN has named the town of Santa Claus, Indiana one of the 10 most Christmassy destinations on the planet for 2013.
Every year since the 1930s, volunteers from the Spencer County town work as Santa's elves to help him answer letters from children. Pat Koch helps respond to those letters and said this year alone the volunteers have helped Santa answer 6,000 letters.
"It's amazing how many children from Taiwan, Russia, are writing Santa Claus, Indiana. And, the Post Office Department gets the letters to us if they say, North Pole, if they say Candy Cane Lane, if they say "the man in the big red suit", sometimes without postage," Koch said.
