Indiana conservation officers say she and her husband Adam drove around road barricades and through a flooded section of Highway 257 in Pike County. The strong current swept their pick-up truck off the road. Nearby hunters were able to rescue Adam using their boat, but they couldn't find Catie.
Officers say the stretch of Highway 257 near the Pike-Daviess County line is a notorious problem area when the White River overflows.
So far crews say they've located the couple's submerged truck, but have yet to find any sign of Catie. Conservation officers involved in the search efforts say they will continue looking for the missing woman everyday until she is found. Her husband was treated for hypothermia at St. Mary's hospital and is expected to be okay.
